Youthreach at City of Dublin FET College
Youthreach is available across 8 City of Dublin FET College locations, offering young people aged 16 to 20 a flexible, supportive way to continue their education.
The programme combines general education with practical skills training and personalised support. Learners can gain recognised qualifications, receive a training allowance, and benefit from mentoring and guidance to help plan their next steps.
Our learner centred approach builds confidence, strong relationships, and real-world readiness, preparing young people to progress to further education, training, or employment.

Community Training Centres
Community Training Centres (CTC) support young people aged 16-21 who have left school early, providing a friendly learning environment where they can work at their own pace and achieve recognised certificates. Community Training Centres (CTCs) are independent, community-based organisations in Ireland, offering the Youthreach programme and providing tailored education, training and work experience for early school leavers aged 16–21. They offer a flexible, supportive environment for young people to work at their own pace and achieve recognised qualifications.
City of Dublin ETB funds and supports Community Training Centres across Dublin city. These programmes are supported by the Community Training team based in City of Dublin FET College, Finglas, Jamestown Rd. For more information contact [email protected].
Education Services
Education Services to Prisons and Pathways Post Release Centre City of Dublin FET College
City of Dublin FET College delivers education services across seven Dublin prisons: Arbour Hill, Cloverhill, Dóchas Centre, Mountjoy, Mountjoy West, the Training Unit, and Wheatfield.
Our Education Service to Prisons offers a wide range of courses across all nine FET College faculty areas, designed to meet the needs of learners in custody. Programmes include life skills, literacy and digital learning, as well as Junior Certificate, Leaving Certificate, and QQI accredited courses.
Learners can also access third level education through partnerships with the Open University and Maynooth University, supporting progression beyond prison education.
Supporting Learners After Release
The Pathways Post Release Centre provides vital support to former prisoners during the transition back into the community. The centre offers education advice, counselling, referrals and practical support in a safe and welcoming environment, helping learners build positive futures.

Tertiary Degrees
Your Seamless Pathways from FET to Higher Education
Tertiary Degrees are innovative, collaborative programmes developed and delivered by City of Dublin FET College in partnership with Higher Education Institutions.
Tertiary degree courses begin in a City of Dublin FET College and progress directly into higher education, leading to an NFQ Level 7 or Level 8 qualification. Start your studies with us and progress seamlessly to a Higher Education Institute, with no fees and full access to supports and facilities in both college settings.
These programmes are designed to widen access to higher education, support lifelong learning, and create clear progression routes, particularly those for whom traditional entry pathways may not be suitable.

- BA (Hons) in Digital and Business Skills
- BA (Hons) in Politics, Society and Media
- BB (Hons) in Business and Psychology
